upgrade from IDS 7.30 to 9.21

You can just shut down the v7.31 instance cleanly, source a script to set your 9.21 variables, then bring up the 9.21 instance. After this You'll can't use 7.31, so You have do a full backup before. After 9.21 starting You must test Your system ( databases and applications ), perhaps there is new bugs in the new version. Right?
