Ho to change Read-only mode to Queiscent mode ???

Guys, I am running HDR pair. During heavy load I want to break replication, by shutting down the secondary server using onmode -ky. In HDR pair, the secondary server os always in "Read-Only" mode. I want do to a gracefull shutdown before doing onmode -ky. I tried using onmode -uy and also onmode -sy. But, both do not work. Does any one know how to get a server to quiescent mode from Read-Only mode ?? Thanks, Niraj
