IDS 10.0 HP-UX 11.11 I am trying to do a table level restore. The backup I am restoring from is from last night... taken from the same machine I am restoring to. I get this error... ERROR: "PUT CURSOR" failed ERROR: -1263: A field in a datetime or interval value is incorrect or an illegal operation There are several date fields in the table... but shouldn't they insert the same way they were backed up? Any help is appreciated. :) Laurie Laurie Gustin IT Programmer Analyst Department of Public Safety lgustin@utah.gov 801-965-4410
Laurie: I would suggest that you check the schema command file for both the source and target schema. This generally means that interrupting the rows from the source data was not done correctly. Also check to see if these tables have any hidden columns from ER or other features. Hope it helps, John F. Laurie, if your table has cdrcols, you may have to set up your arc command
file like this:
database stores_demo;
create table rocket
(cdrserver int,
cdrtime int,
rocket_id int,
rocket_name char(20),
rocket_cost money(10,2),
launch_date datetime year to second,
primary key (rocket_id,rocket_name)
) in dbs1;
create table rocket2
(
rocket_id int,
rocket_name char(20),
rocket_cost money(10,2),
launch_date datetime year to second,
primary key (rocket_id,rocket_name)
) with crcols;
insert into rocket2 select rocket_id, rocket_name, rocket_cost,launch_date
from rocket;restore to current with no log;

Laurie,
Some versions of Informix have that bug corrected, however, I have gotten into
the habit of just always setting the command file up that way to be safe. I
know that this applies to the new replcheck column named ifx_replcheck as well.
