Okay I got pass all of those errors, too! Just when I got to your e-mail from the list. Now none of my servers that I have defined on Setnet32 are showing up in the Explorer Window. Okay what did I mess up? HELP!!!!! Thanks C.L.K. jake%apparel.net@heb.com on 06/25/97 04:17:46 PM Please respond to jake@apparel.net Jacob Salomon wrote: > > Joe Lumbley wrote: > > > > There, I thought that would get your attention. I am posting this to thank them by forestalling more calls on this matter. To avoid the dreaded 931 error, I had to copy the relevant service entries from /etc/services on the Unix host to the end of the file c:\\windows\\services. (As it happens, my Unix host was already listed in c:\\windows\\hosts.txt and that's probably a requirement but I had not put it to the test.) This got me far enough to get the 956 error - client system not trusted on host system. That's probably a protocol issue, since my PC node name is listed in .rhosts on my Unix home account, but regardless, I was instructed to fill in a password in setnet and use the PASSWORD option, not the "Ask at runtime" option. Also, I was in error when I complained about onsoctcp not being offered in the drop-down box. It was there; I simply hadn't noticed the scroll bar on the side. As I wrte this, db-explorer has been running over 20 minutes to download a (minute) list of views from a database with over 600 tables. OK, I have seen people complain about speed in other messages. Utterly minor issue: Is there any way to change the icon that displays for DB-explorer when I am stepping through with ALT-TAB? The default icon looks just like that of Windows explorer. :-( The table editor is FANTASTIC for displaying the layout & keys. Get it, install it, configure it (once - then forget about it) and use it!
