I got in touch with Informix and opened a case with them. I also
recerated the problem at their end and they also believe it is an
unexpected behaviour.
Now my question is is this specific to 4gl or IDS . Also has anyone ,
other than me and Bill has seen the issue ?
Thanks

Bug 165540 seems to be related to the use of the FULL optimiser
directives. However the example below doesn't mention the optimiser
directive.
