Posted in 2001
Hej! We have some more problems with Informix 4gl 7.30.FC4 on a Sun Enterprise 450. >uname -a SunOS 5.7 Generic_106541-06 sun4u sparc SUNW,Ultra-4 >isainfo -v 64-bit sparcv9 applications 32-bit sparc applications If i compile a small program with c4gl, the resulting a.out produces at runtime an error 469. The mist.4gl: 1 2 DATABASE mbs 3 4 MAIN 5 6 DEFINE 7 p_k_foot RECORD LIKE k_foot.* 8 9 DISPLAY "hallo Welt" 10 11 DECLARE c_fift_key CURSOR FOR 12 SELECT * FROM k_foot 13 WHERE blck = "key" 14 ORDER BY nxt, term 15 16 OPEN c_fift_key 17 CLOSE c_fift_key 18 19 DISPLAY "hallo Welt" 20 END MAIN If i run the resulting a.out: >./a.out hallo Welt Program stopped at "mist.4gl", line number 16. SQL statement error number -469. This descriptor does not exist. >finderr 469 -469 This descriptor does not exist. The name of the system descriptor area that is specified does not exist in the list of system descriptor areas, so it has not been allocated. You must execute the ALLOCATE DESCRIPTOR statement to allocate this descriptor name before you use it. > The same program runs compiled with 4gl 7.30.UC1! How do i "allocate descriptor" in 4GL? Any hints? Thank you! Thomas -- ---- ___ | \\ \\ | | UNIVERSITY OF | Dipl.-Ing. agr.
