Can I perform a Level-0 back-up onto a Disk using ontape ?

I want to do a level-0 archive onto a raw disk or to a cooked file using ontape
. I understand that ontape byitself says "on to a tape" but I remember reading
it somewhere . . ..
Please let me know if it is possible ?
Thank you,

yes just point it to the file in the cooked filesystem or to the
appropriate driver for the raw device.

It might also be necessary to set the atributes for the file to 664 informix informix. That's what I had to do for log backups to disk per friendly advice of a newsgroup reader.
