Translating with DrWatson… this can take a few seconds the first time.
This is a genuine, complex translation. DrWatson protects commands, error codes, and log output while naturally translating the surrounding text. It’s translated once and saved.

Under 7.30 the time for physical restore should be similar to the archive.
(Much improved from previous versions.
Then there is the logical restore (if any) and fast recovery.
You can monitor the chunk activity during the physical restore with
onstat -D

Subject: [ifxmaillist] Restore Informix database
Hi,
I'm now restoring an Informix-database (IDS 7.30 on NT 4.0) using ontape -r.
Backuptime : 2 hours (ontape -s)
Any idea how long my restore (ontape -r) will take ?
