Hi all, I've install Informix Client SDK 2.01 on a windows NT4 machine. I've run setnet32 setting the corresponding values to connect to a Unix box ( 7.30 UC6 Solaris 2.6 ). When I try the ilogin program to check connection, I get the messages -931 ( Cannot locate servicename service/tcp service in /etc/services ) I've added the servicename in: \\etc\\services, \\winnt\\system32\\drivers\\etc\\services and in \\winnt\\services, but none of them seemed to work. Can you give any hints of what may be happenning... I've check the hosts file, name of informixserver, user and password and they are OK. Thanks for any help you could give me. Gabriela Bellani

Is the setting of the protocol in setnet32 ok? Do the socket number in \\winnt\\..\\services match the socket in /etc/services on your host? Does the service name in /etc/services match the service name in $INFORMIXDIR/etc/sqlhosts ? Ensure that the client computer services file entry is identical to the server services entry (same port, type and spelling ;).
