RE: HDR -Solaris 10 11.50.FC5WE (Second instance)

I have set up a second instance on a server with 16GB of memory. The other instance on the server is a secondary in an HDR pair. The problem that I am having is that my initialization errors out when I try to add 512MB or more of shared memory. If I use less, it initializes fine. I can't find any specific errors except that it cannot attach to shared memory. I have another server with a similar setup that works just fine with more memory used by the second instance. Can anyone point me in the right direction on what I might check? Thanks. Larry
Check the release notes for SHMBASE recommendations and for kernel parameters. Regards. Do they specifically mention exceptions to use when adding a second instance, because I thought I already had everything set to recommendations. I have compared them to what I have on another server, and they seem to be similar. > To: ids@iiug.org > From: domusonline@gmail.com > Subject: Re: HDR -Solaris 10 11.50.FC5WE (Second instance) [20138] > Date: Thu, 13 May 2010 13:16:00 -0400 > > Check the release notes for SHMBASE recommendations and for kernel > parameters. > Regards. > > On Thu, May 13, 2010 at 6:13 PM, LARRY SORENSEN <lsorensen25@msn.com> wrote: > > > I have set up a second instance on a server with 16GB of memory.
