Check whether there is a /etc/termcap file. If not, try setting
TERMCAP=$INFORMIXDIR/etc/termcap (assuming it exists). Also check
whether you have INFORMIXTERM=termcap or terminfo (probably not,
and the default would be termcap). You could try setting it to
terminfo and see whether that resolves the problem. Also check
the setting of TERMINFO in that case.
