I can't say why this doesn't work for you, but it works fine for me - I
regularly use filenames over 8 chars long, as well as projects and
components with long names (longest filename I can find at hand is 13
chars - cashbksummary.4gl ) This is with NT4 using NTFS drives.
Maybe there is something wrong with your installation of MSVC 5, rather
than New Era?
