When I try to use onbar to restore just one dbspace
(I only backuped one dbspace), the error message
says the target dbspace is not offline.
I tried shutdown the server, it did not work.

onspaces -sis used to change the status of a chunk.
onspaces -- to get the usage...
I am not sure if this is what you really want to do though.
What are you doing this for? There might be a better way to go about it.

As far as whether or not you can disable one database with this option:
All data on disabled chunks is inaccessible.
Other Options:
You could revoke all the connect privileges on a database. Users
can not access the database. Then grant them back when you are
done.
Hope this heps,

Hi, How can I bring a dbspace or a chunk off line in IDS9.2 ? A similiar question is, if I have several databases in one IDS instance, is it possible to bring one offline and let the remained running? Harry
