RE: Shared memory creation during oninit process
Try specifying the "v" flag (i.e. oninit -iv).
It may tell you where the error is occurring.
Do you have shared memory segments left from a previous crash?
If so, you will need to remove them with "ipcrm" before starting
Informix.

Try reducing SHMVIRTSIZE and try it again. I feel some of the resources you
have
allocated are bit high.
Also further analysis, it will be good if you post your ONCONFIG to the
group.
