I have just done some programming with esql on linux and found that some libraries request sonething called _xstat. The only xstat i found is an internal funktion in libc. does anyone know what is going on here ? walter ps: nm confirms that -- ----- "My doctor says that I have a malformed public duty gland and a natural deficiency in moral fiber, and that I am therefore excused from saving Universes." -----

You must either upgrade to a newer version of ESQL/C (meaning ClientSDK 2.30 or later), or downgrade your compiler to the RedHat 5.2 compatability mode (glibc 2.0.7) version where _xstat is a defined function. The information you need should be in either the D4GL or the Linux corner of the IDN web site (http://www.informix.com/idn). -- Jonathan Leffler (jleffler@informix.com, jleffler@earthlink.net) Guardian of DBD::Informix v1.00.PC1 -- see http://www.perl.com/CPAN #include <disclaimer.h>
