You can lock the database that you will be using to exclusive mode. Is it possible to go into 'single-user mode' in ODS 7.23? I need to deny access to other users while running SQL queries, so quiescent mode won't do. Thanks Graeme Muirhead g.muirhead@freeuk.com

You could revoke connect from the users and only allow yourself to connect. Then grant connect permissions back at the end.
