Billy et al,
you NOT have to add a new logical device. You can use AIX's SMIT
facility to enlarge the device. However, you cannot extend a chunk in
OnLine. You will need to add a new chunk that starts at the offset of
the new extension to the logical volume.
Personally, I dislike seeing offsets in the "onstat -d" listing but it
is legit and correct.
