Informix uk user group

In a quiet moment, I thought I'd look up the Uk User Group at http://www.iiug.org/members/cdi_archive/search.html since I was at the last meeting in the UK (back in October I think), but I haven't heard anything since. The Informix UK web site still has a page for the user group, but until recently it was advertising last years meeting in the 'forthcoming events'. Can someone tell me what's happening or what happened? As an aside does anyone have any feel for how Informix are doing in the UK? The UK web site is pretty low key, almost as if it is there because Informix feel they have to have a web site for the UK, rather than because they feel they want one to promote UK business. Maybe there is so little activity in the UK that there's not much to promote? Regards Martyn martyn_hodgson@compuserve.com
I've just received the cessation accounts for the existing user group, so I assume they have stopped trading and are no longer in existance. Why I got a copy I don't know, probably 'cos I was involved in the old group a few years back. The group that has folded had a clause in it's membership criteria that refused membership to anybody who didn't hold a valid Informix product license which meant virtually all the freelancers couldn't join, about 25% of the member base. Looking at the accounts maybe the membership fees where too high???
