Hi!
I have been trying to solve a problem with no luck, I hope
you can enlighten me.
We have two servers, 1 and 2. 2 is set up as the scondary server
in a replication arrangement. The two servers have been running
fine for a couple of months with no trouble with the replication.
But now our customer has "probably rebooted the primary server
once or twice...". Now, if you do a onstat -d on the secondary server
you'll see that all databases are marked as inconsistent.
Except for the two tempdbs. The primary server looks just fine.
My first (and sadly, only) thought was to recreate the second
server, dump the first one, restore the first on the second
(exactly as described in the manual).
But, lo and behold, the second server _still_ has inconsistent
databases. Why?
I did get a warning in the logfile saying that the the tempdbs
are invalid, but are they the cause for the inconsistency?
The replication works as it should, but the inconsistency-flags
are not pretty.
What have I overlooked? Help, anybody?
We are running Informix 7.23 on HP-UX 10.20, the backup and
restore were made with ontape.
TIA
Johan W
