HELP: Create customized debugger on HP-UX 10.20 with gcc

I have to create a customized 4gl-runner fglgo and a costumized debugger fgldb for Informix Dynamic Server Version 7.31.UC2 on a HP-UX 10.20. The included c-compiler on the HP is a non-ansi mini-compiler, just enough to compile the kernel-sources. Because of the new functions I have to use the GNU-Compiler. I can compile the runner and debugger without warnings. The runner does his job but invoking the debugger shows only the start-message "Interactive Debugger..." and then Bus error(coredump). I found out that even the original debugger bombs if compiled with gcc. So I tried different compiler-switches, but no way. Who knows the trick? Did you try -fwriteable-strings? It is usually the solution to I4GL problems with GCC. -- Jonathan Leffler (jleffler@informix.com, jleffler@earthlink.net) Guardian of DBD::Informix v1.00.PC1 -- see http://www.perl.com/CPAN #include <disclaimer.h>
