I need some help here.
* I am trying to dbexport my database; I am working on Windows NT (Enough
HD space 1.7 GB and enough MEM 128MB).
* Database has 60 TABLES , and 250 Stored Procedures
* Tables have very little data, basicaly no more than 50 recodrs each.
* When I run the dbexport -c -o <path> <dbname> under MS-DOS Command window,
I can see how the table schemas are being generated (are shown on the
screen) and placed in a file (sql script) ,but when it gets to the Stored
procedures, Informix HANGS!!!
* When I run dbschema, also HANGS!!! (I have to kill the process with task
manager)
* When I go to see if the file was created, I open it and only tha table
shemas and a couple of SPs are in it.
* I had used dbexport before and this did not happend.
What can I do? What is going on??
Victor
Try the following before attempting the dbexport again :
1. Update statistics for your database "sys" tables (all that have tabid < 99).
2. Use the oncheck command to remove inconsistencies. e.g. oncheck -cDIy.
