TEMP dbspace Problems on recovery

Yesterday had a failure on the AIX 4.2, running Informix 7.24. Weather
related. rootvg need to be restored and system brought backup online. when
the database came up online.log shows
Dropping temporary TBLspace 9006b1, recovering 8 pages.
and onstat -d shows the tempdb flag changed from N T to N.
The database was not treading the tempdb as temp.
any one knows why did behave in the way.
