Hello,
I need help about IDS2000 Administration,
I've installed IDS2000 on Windows NT,
I would want to set NETTYPE for supporting named pipe comunication,
the administration book doesn't explain it very much,
I've tried it setting:
DBSERVERNAME ol_bulls # Name of default Dynamic Server
DBSERVERALIASES ol_bulls_pipe # List of alternate dbservernames
NETTYPE soctcp,4,50,NET # Override sqlhosts nettype parameters
NETTYPE ipcnmp,1,,CPU
and dbserver gives me the following error:
12:00:36 listener-thread: err = -25573: oserr = 0: errstr = : Networkdriver cannot accept a connection on the port.
why?
How have I to do for name pipe comunication?
thanks in advance.
Alessandro
Are pipes supported on NT? On UNIX you would use ipcstr in NETTYPE and
onipcstr in sqlhosts. Look in the release notes (%INFORMIXDIR%\\release\\*\\*)
in the SERVER* file for supported protocols and the values for sqlhosts and
NETTYPE.
