Translating with DrWatson… this can take a few seconds the first time.
This is a genuine, complex translation. DrWatson protects commands, error codes, and log output while naturally translating the surrounding text. It’s translated once and saved.

Steven,
What does the $INFORMIXDIR/etc/IDS-cr file contain?
It will probably match the output from "onstat -g pos" and "onstat -V"
commands. I would rely upon these values.
Systablaes is populated when the database is created.
It may not get updated when you upgrade unless the structure
of the system tables are changed.
On instances where I am running IDS 7.31.UC3-1,
the "systables" tables in the various databases contain "7.31C1"
On instances where I am running IDS 7.30.UC7XK,
the "systables" tables in the various databases contain "7.30C1"

Subject: Reading IDS version
<!doctype html public "-//w3c//dtd html 4.0 transitional//en">
<html>
Hi,
<p>I am doing some documentation for my system, and would like to know
the version of IDS that is running.
<p>Read from the FAQ to issue the following SQL statement
<p>select * from systables where tabnames = " VERSION"
<br>result = 7.23UC3
<p>and then I issue the command "onstat -V"
<br>result = 7.24UC4
<p>any help in determining the "right" versions..or my Informix is a
little
schizo? 8-)
<p>thanks
