Translating with DrWatson… this can take a few seconds the first time.
This is a genuine, complex translation. DrWatson protects commands, error codes, and log output while naturally translating the surrounding text. It’s translated once and saved.

We installed the client software on 3 machines. The ILogin Demo program got
connected from one machine. The other two all failed with the error -931.
Below is the server configuration:
Operating system: NT 4.0
Informix Dynamic Server 7.30
Any ideas? Thanks in advance for your help

Hi,
Further to Chetan's advice: once you have found the service name, port
number from the NT server "services" file, you also need to add the line to
each Client machines "services" file that you wish to connect to the
database server for example:-
turbo 1526/tcp
On Win95/98 machines the services file is found in the system root directory
i.e "C:\\windows". Pease note your service name / port no. may be different
from above.
Hope this is of help.
Good Luck.
Lee.
