Does your Informix release support the AFF_SPROC and AFF_NPROCS
parameters on AIX?

7. The Processor Affinity feature (ONCONFIG variables AFF_SPROC, AFF_NPROCS)
that allows the pinning of CPU VPs to physical processors in a multi-cpu
configuration is NOT supported in this release.
On AIX 4.2.1, the bindprocessor command can be used to bind the
specific CPU VP to a processor on IBM SMP platforms. The process id
for CPU VPs can be obtained using 'onstat -g sch' command.

Hi,
please how can I know that I am using affinity process in my server (in the
informix side).
my config variables AFF_SPROC and AFF_NPROCS are positionned to respectivly
1 and 2. but I get the following message in the log file : VPCLASS 'cpu' not
enough physical procs for affinity
I am using informix 7.30UC5 under AIX 4.3.2. I have 2 process in my chanine
(Risc 6000).
I know that I can found the process names with the unix command cpu_state,
but it does`nt work in my system.
can you please tel me witch commande can help me to look if I am using the
affinity process (informix side or unix side) and to found the name and
number of my process (unix side)
