Read The F...riendly Manual! Informix's award-winning product documentation
is the best in the business. The Tutorial begins with "...a table is
a collection of data comprised of columns and rows..." and the other
manuals continue with system administration through performance tuning.
They are available online with a support contract, downloadable in an
Adobe Acrobat format. TFM is always the first place to go for information.
Then scrutinize the web pages, starting with http://www.informix.com and
ending with http://www.iiug.org . Be sure to follow the links to other
useful user group and individual sites. Among the things you'll find are
recommendations for books to read and links to the vendors who sell them.
