RE: restoring to new instance with onbar

What storage manager do you plan to use? With ADSM you can perform an "imported restore" from a backup taken on another machine. However, it is not straight forward. (I am not familiar with how other storage managers address this issue). Both instances must appear identical from an Informix standpoint. The chunk path names and chunks sizes must be the same. During the restore process, you must make Informix and onbar act as if it is restoring from a backup taken on same machine.
