The Informix representative said that it is possible to run UNIX clients in version 5, however we need to have a local small database. This has to do with version 5 tools needs to attach to a local shared memory before it can access the network. So here is the stuff: On the client: - esql-c - online 5 - i-net for UNIX (or I-star is OK as well). On the server: - online 5 - i-star The local database makes this solution a little bit complicated. b.r.
