Translating with DrWatson… this can take a few seconds the first time.
This is a genuine, complex translation. DrWatson protects commands, error codes, and log output while naturally translating the surrounding text. It’s translated once and saved.

AAAAAAHHHHHH!!!!!
DBSERVERALIASES is NOT for aliasing servers on other machines! It is
for creating alternate names for the local server, ie so that you can
have a name meaning 'connect using TCP/IP on ethernet 100' one meaning
'connect over shared memory' and yet another for 'connect to the
server using the ATM network'.
You DO have to make entries into the sqlhosts file for other servers
BUT DO NOT place their names in the DBSERVERALIASES ONCONFIG parameter!
I think that this misunderstanding is your WHOLE problem.
