Hello,
we want to migrate from HP-UX 11.11 PA-Risc to HP-UX 11.23 IA64/Itanium.
Everything seems to work fine except some of the backup procedures (onbar/ism):
The backup of the logical logs with onbar / ISM works fine, but the creation of
the bootstrap information for the ism itself doesn't work:
ism_catalog -create_bootstrap -pool ISMDiskLogs
returns error messages. A bootstrap file seems to get written to the data pool,
but error messages from nsrindexd appear and the daemon dumps with signal 11.
That leads to a shutdown of the whole ISM, only two nsr* processes are left
running.
After restarting the ISM, onbar -b -l works fine again, but
ism_catalog -create_bootstrap
crashes again.
nsrck-commands don't show any problems but it they don't help either.
The same configuration on HP-UX 11.11 PA-Risc seems to work without any
problems.
Any ideas?
Regards,
Andreas Kutsche
