You should not have manually added the MIRRORPATH path-name to your
$ONCONFIG file. That method will not populate the contents of the mirror
path. Instead, you should use "onspaces -m ..." to initiate mirroring for
a dbspace.
You could try to using "onspaces -r rootdbs" to end mirroring for rootdbs
before starting it again. If that fails, you could try resetting MIRRORPATH
to its original null value.
These "onspaces" commands are described in more detail in the
"Administrator Guide". Menu driven methods for accomplishing the same
tasks are available in the Informix Server Administrator (ISA) and
onmonitor utilities.

Hi all,
and want to start a mirroring in my test instans with 1 dbspace(rootdbs)
contaning 1 chunk (/dev/lon_dvlp1_root).
so the set the folowing config parameters :
MIRROR 1
MirrorMIRRORPATH /dev/lon_dvlp1_root_m
MIRROROFFSET 0My chunks are cooked files.
I reinitialize the engine, but my mirror chunk is down, then and the I take
a level 0 backup and restart the engine, but, the same thing, my mirror
backup is still down.
