Please do not post HTML/MIME, this is a text only newsgroup. Usually the solution is to increase LRUS and CLEANERS. Sometimes you may need more BUFFERS (check you cache turnover rate which should be only a few times an hour ideally). On extreme system if you have already maxed out LRUS (128 on 7.xx 256 on 8.xx) you may need to play with the undocumented parameter LRUPOLICY, which I described in a reply in June, to reduce LRU contention. I had been told by an Informix developer (worked at Informix developing DBMS code) that if you have RA_PAGES and RA_TRESHOLD values close together that this can happen. Something about the RA processes interfering with the retrieval of pages from the buffer.
