Translating with DrWatson… this can take a few seconds the first time.
This is a genuine, complex translation. DrWatson protects commands, error codes, and log output while naturally translating the surrounding text. It’s translated once and saved.
Every 5 minutes I am seeing the error below in the online log file.
However, there have been no complaints from users.
IBM Informix Dynamic Server Version 9.40.FC8
13:09:07 listener-thread: err = -25582: oserr = 9: errstr = : Networkconnection is broken.
13:14:07 listener-thread: err = -25582: oserr = 9: errstr = : Networkconnection is broken.
13:19:07 listener-thread: err = -25582: oserr = 9: errstr = : Networkconnection is broken.
13:24:06 listener-thread: err = -25582: oserr = 9: errstr = : Networkconnection is broken.
13:29:07 listener-thread: err = -25582: oserr = 9: errstr = : Networkconnection is broken.
Any idea what may be causing this or what areas I should investigate?
Thanks.
Some script or similar agent is "pinging" your instance every 5 minutes.
It has no username and/or password so it cannot finish the handshake.
Monitor the Informix port and analyze network traffic to see where the
connection attempt comes from.
