Informix Monitoring: Static DBSpaces

For some dbspaces, such as logical and physical log spaces, the allocated space and free pages never change. This metric alerts if there is a change.

Root dbspace is normally monitored as a static space, here an alert might indicate temporary tables being created within the space. If that is correct behaviour then the threshold values allow for the dbspaces free space to be within a given range, so if the thresholds are 5000 then an alert is only raised if the free pages vary +/- 5000 pages from the static value.
